Some of the Same

I went through a lot of sketchpads as a kid. Not because I couldn't stop drawing, but because I would usually get a few pages in and then mess something up, thus causing me to draw angry squiggle lines over the entire page. Thus ruining the entire book. Hi, my name's Kent, and I am a perfectionist. By the time I hit sixth grade I learned my lesson and started asking my mom & dad for the sketchpads with detachable pages. I don't think I've really grown though because I behave the same way still with a website (among other things). I don't take much time to update this place which causes me to want to just give up and start over entirely.

So I think I will. Nope definitely haven't grown. I'm going to try to do it slowly though rather than a major site overhaul all at once. So maybe (?) things will begin to change. I'm mainly telling this to myself so that I can start to feel better. No, I'm not in counseling yet.

But in the mean time, on the rare occasion that I spend some leisure hours with the internet, here are a few places that I typically frequent in order to feed my curiosity for design.
ffffound.com - A collection of daily design inspiration that others find across the digital globe.
On My Desk - A photo blog of designer's desks. Thanks to Matt for this one.
Inspirational Posters - One of the better poster compilations of this past year. I've still been trying to recreate the look of some of these for various projects that I've done.
Art of the Title - This is a blog devoted to imaginative movie title sequences. Sometimes it's the best part of the film. (My favorite? 'Thank You for Smoking')
Smashing Magazine - Some great online tutorials. If you're into that sort of thing.
Livingetc - A British interior design magazine. No, not in a weird way.
This Ain't No Disco - A compilation of creative offices. Lots of ideas here.

These are just a few of the things that keep me creatively unhappy with the current state of things. And keep me from spending money on magazine subscriptions. Okay now I have to go make something.
